One county, very different houses
Bell County packs a lot of housing types into a short drive. Killeen and Copperas Cove have a large share of single story homes and rentals tied to Fort Hood. Harker Heights and Nolanville are full of newer two story homes and new construction. Temple and Belton mix older homes near downtown with acreage, barns and shops on the edge of town.
The heat is the same everywhere, though. Long, hot summers push attic temperatures up, and most of the heat that makes a house uncomfortable comes in through the roof and attic. That is why nearly every job we do starts in the attic.
